Gift cards for mum...

Well as I'll be going far away from home and from my mum who has been amazingly supportive throughout my life, I decided to dedicate this post to the world's greatest mom and boast about how much I love her! :) This post is gonna contain the pics of all the recent cards I made for her. She has preserved each and every card that me or my sister made, even the ones we made when we were 6-7 years old. :) This one was for her most recent birthday that was on 24th July. It was actually a surprise for her. I was finally successful in hiding the card! My mum could always figure out that I was making a card for her, she would definitely come and get a sneak peek of it! But this time I managed to hide it from her. A very simple card with three butterflies made by quilling strips, I wanted it to be sweet and simple and it turned out well. :) This one was for this year's Mother's Day. Classiness combined with cuteness! Weird combination! I made this so that mum

Trip to Raipur!

Recently went to Raipur for spot round admissions for getting into NIT(National Institute of Technology). A train journey after a long time felt nice, also it was soothing to the eyes as the monsoon has covered the land in lush greenery. Going this far and staying in a disgusting hotel did pay off at the end as I got a college, the one that I wished for. We reached there(me and my dad) on 24th morning, which was also the day of my mum's birthday. This was the first time I wasn't there on my mum's birthday(and probably won't be for the next 5 years). The moment we stepped out of the railway station, a group of rickshaw walas stood in front of us offering for a ride to our destination. We got into one and headed to our hotel. The roads were damaged due to the rains, which resulted in a bumpy ride, piles of garbage covering half the road were left to stink, with the other half occupied by cows lazing around. The first thought after seeing this scene was Vizag is mu

A little on the philosophical side...

This one's gonna be long.. When it comes to reading anything philosophical I don't, I find it rather boring. On the contrary I'll do a lot of philosophical talking! I like it I guess, my way, not others'. Weird. Anyway moving on, personally I feel there is no such thing as luck. There's fate. Fate decides how you are born and how you will die. Everything in the middle, that we call 'life' is up to us. We can make the best use of it, we can make little use of it, or we can make no use of it at all. The two extremities are unlikely to happen in a normal person's life.(I am a normal person!) Some people believe in luck a lot, because you see, luck works for them. It does't for me, the way it does for them. I was born in this amazing colony and I lived my life comfortably for the first 15 years. But it was after my 10th grade that our family(out of everyone else's) was to be shifted to a new place. That wasn't luck, that was merely an inc

Wie uber einige Deutsch? :)

The above line can be translated as "How about some German?". German. I know. Isn't it completely visible how bored I am! But that is what is left for me to do. Still no acceptance from any good college, and now its really getting on my nerves(actually, my mum's). Anyway, so I have my dad's old German textbook(yes he can speak German, and very well too) and a Deutsch-English translation book which I found half eaten by termites! Still both the texts are in reading condition. And what's better than your own dad helping you out with the pronunciations?! :) And if that doesn't work out, the internet is only a click away! :) You can notice how worn out it is. Still somehow my dad has kept it in a readable condition. Gute Nacht! :)
