Diwali in Mandi!

This was a complete unplanned trip! We got around 4-5 days off for Diwali and most of us girls decided to stay and sulk in hostel, except the ones staying in Himachal. Friday morning, Vidisha shakes me up from my sleep and says, " Pack your bags! We are going to Mandi!" I was half asleep when she dragged me down to the office to get the outpass form( I didn't even brush!) We came back, did all the morning chores, and started packing. Our bus left at 12:30. We reached just in time, one minute late and we would have missed it. And what a journey it was! It took 5 hours to reach Mandi, with me gasping the entire time seeing the picturesque hills and valleys. And another year passes by in the blink of an eye... What an year it has been. I had never imagined that it would turn out to be so happening! There I was at the start of the year bored and unhappy with my life as a 12th grader and here I am at the end of the year- a first year B.Arch student at NIT Hamirpur! I had never anticipated I would land up here! Traveled north, south, east, and west of India, to finally settle in the north for the next five years! :D At the start of the year I was in the normal teen phase-bored with studies, not interested in anything but chatting with friends, slouch the entire time, watch anything and everything that was showing on the television, listen to music till the crack of the dawn, and what not!
